VDS Hominy Red Maize Plata

Maize (also known as corn) is a major staple food grain throughout the world, particularly in Africa, Latin America and Asia, and a major feedstuff in developed countries. Peeled whole white maize. Used in African and Burmese cuisine as a supplement. Also used in Mexican cuisine to make a dish called Posole as well in Columbian cuisine to make Arepas. Brazillians call it Canjica de Milho, a delicious traditional sweet dish eaten all over Brazil and served especially during the Festa Junina celebrations in winter.

Directions -
Soak VDS white or red maize plata overnight.
In a pan on the stove, cook with cinnamon stick and cloves for around 90 minutes.
Remove cinnamon stick and cloves and drain.
Add all milks, and boil for around 10 minutes.
Add sugar if desired and enjoy hot or cold.
